Hi! Do you want to know an interesting scientific fact? A baby is able to recognize the quantity of things around him within a few days from birth!

Thanks to important studies it has been possible to understand that the child begins to understand the quantities of what is around him within a few days from birth. This means that children can understand quantities before they know how to name them in words.
Several scientific studies have shown how the newborn child is able to discriminate one, then, after the arrival of the father he is able to discriminate one other than one, and finally if we also hypothesize the arrival of a third person such as a nurse, the child is able to discriminate one other than one and different from one.
So we can say that the newborn child already knows how to recognize at least up to three physical elements that are around him. Furthermore, within the number three he is able to recognize the differences between different quantities of objects in fact he knows how to recognize the difference between the greater, the lesser and the equal.
This very powerful mechanism of our brain is called Subitizing or also immediatization and allows us to recognize, from the first days of birth, the quantities up to three, while as regards the subsequent numbers such as four, this quantity is recognized by the fact that it is the closest quantity to three.
For all the numbers after four it will not be possible to recognize them at a glance because the brain activates the Subtizing mechanism which breaks down the quantities up to three-four, that is the only quantities that we can identify with a glance and almost never make mistakes.

This game has been developed to help children to learn the numbers in a funny and colourful way.

Three game modes will allow to:

1) learn the meaning of the quantities, linking them to the sound and pronunciation of the relative number;

2) memorize the shape of the numbers;

3) learn to draw the shape of the numbers.
